University of Ballarat Alumni Malaysia Chapter

Welcome to the home of the University of Ballarat's Alumni Association Malaysia Chapter. Also, fondly known as the ub)alumni Malaysia Chapter!

Becoming a graduate of the University of Ballarat is a significant landmark and achievement.  However it does not mark the end of your association with the University. The University now has several thousand graduates living and working in Malaysia, a number which will surely continue to grow every year.

In demonstration of the University’s commitment towards a lifelong and mutually beneficial relationship with our past graduates and friends, an Alumni Chapter exclusively for the Malaysia community has been formed.

It is through the joint and tireless efforts of the newly appointed Chapter President, Jafri bin Abdullah; Vice-President, Benny Tay; Secretary, Kasman bin Abdullah; Treasurer, Marcel Anthony Quah; Membership Development Director, Mohd Amin Mohd Ali; Joint Communications Director and Webmaster, Daniel Wong and WG Heng; and other Committee Members- Rosita binti Abu Bakar, Hassanuddin bin Ahmad, Khazura binti Khamsah, Nor Ayu Ahmad and Siew Chuei Li that the ub)alumni Malaysia Chapter has been successfully established.

The University of Ballarat would like to extend it’s gratitude towards the Steering Committee by saying a big ‘THANK YOU’ for all the hard work and significant contributions that the ub)alumni Malaysia Chapter Steering Committee have made towards the formation of the Chapter.

Chapters are a critical part of the University’s Alumni Relations program.  Organised and managed by local alumni volunteers, Chapter activities and events bring alumni together for social interaction, networking, professional development and lifelong learning.

The Steering Committee aspires to create a Chapter which provides a place to grow, to learn, to share and to perpetuate lasting relationships with UB alumni of all ages.  A place that provides opportunities for members to demonstrate leadership, assist in mentoring and community service initiatives and to develop both personally and professionally.
